Half-Way Baked Little Baby BOY!!

We're officially half way there! Well actually over, technically. I'm 20 W 5 D. But I'm kinda thinking I'll go over, so now I really might be half way! haha Anyways...We had our anatomy scan and the baby is looking beautiful! Everything is spot on, though I'm supposedly measuring a day later, but whatever. I'm keeping the due date June 7th, but guessing June 13th :) It's amazing how well ultrasound techs can do their job. Like seriously, "this is the kidney!" Really?? Cause I see a black dot. Of course it's  AMAZING anyways, but I really don't get it. I at least understood the general heart chambers and brain hemispheres (thank you Andy Anderson). And last but not least, our super cool ultrasound tech showed us that our super cute baby was a SUPER cute BOY :) We honestly really didn't care either way and we had NO idea, so we were thrilled. Now I can add lots to the nursery :) yayy! And here we are at 20w3d and our cute little man.

 Cutest guy EVER huh :)

Oh, and funny story. I finally told my class that I was having a baby and that it's a boy. So today during large motor (recess basically) I asked a few kids what I should name my baby. This poor innocent girl says F***. Yeah, like the whole word. So I asked her again and she said it the cutest little voice. Needless to say we had a little talk about how that's actually NOT a good word and she probably shouldn't ever say it again in her life. haha And that no, I will not be naming my child that!! But I love being pregnant around 14, 4 year olds. They say what they see and it's usually hilarious...often insulting...but hilarious.

How far along?  20 W 5 D
How big is the peanut? About 7 in and is weighing in at a healthy 12 oz
Total weight gain/loss? Hmmmm, like 8ish lbs? I know I'm supposed to go up, but it's still not cool hearing/seeing it every time I go in. haha

Maternity clothes? I need more!! haha I LOVE my one pair of pants, but wouldn't mind another couple. It's a bit too brisk for maxi skirts most days :(
Sleep? Totally depends on the night, sometimes I toss and turn all night switching the danged pillows side to side and tucking and what not. Others, I zonk out with weirdo dreams.
Best moment this week? Definitely finding out that we're having a cute little man.
Symptoms? This whole pregnancy "morning" sickness that goes away at "13 weeks" is crap. Like really. I'll have a good week, next week I'm nauseous and throwing up. My doctor told me to take Prilosec every night to help even out the acid in my stomach and I was on cloud 9 for 2 weeks. Then last Sunday came and it's coming back all over again. yayy..not
Food cravings? Nope, not really. A little Dr. P with lunch helps everything settle a little better though. Just can't go over my allotted 150mg of Caffeine!
Food aversions? The thought of lemons still makes me ill, I don't even like writing about it...and that's about it.
Gender? Baby BOY BOY BOY!!
Belly button in or out? Still in
What I miss? Being able to drink lots of water without feeling sick.
What I'm looking forward to? The day that morning sickness never comes back...hmmm, hard goal??
Milestones? It's moving lots more! Tyler was also able to feel it kick a few times a week or so ago. :)

confessions of a novice quilter

This seeminly simple quilt caused me quite a bit of grief. We can partially blame it on the machine...but I cant deny my inability to sew straight lines. Whatever the case...the project that started last june and took a 4 month leave of absence is complete! And I even kinda like it :) hopefully baby will too!

Christmas Break

The best thing about teaching...2 weeks paid vacation that don't even count as vacation time!! Of course Tyler was still busy because he works full time when he has a break. But we started it off by going to a USU basketball game...it's been a while since I've gone to one.

Then a quick day trip down to SLC for a baby shower and to see Tyler's mom sing at Temple square. The baby shower was dual for 2 of my old roommates, as it turns out 4/6 of us were all prego! Marlee was due the week after we had the shower, Lacey is due in Feb, I'm next in June and Kirstie is due in July.
(Ignore the crazy closed eyes.)

Tyler's mom is in a singing group that performs at Temple Square every Christmas, so we went and saw the lights and caught up with his parents there later that night.

Then for Christmas we got some fun baby things and  I also got a beautiful KitchenAid. We also got to talk to these 3 cool dudes.

We were lucky and got to Skype Haden and Trevor. Tanner was going to call at the same time, but ended up having some meeting. So instead we talked to him earlier that morning. Trevor got some chubby to him though, and I can't believe Haden will be home in 5 months...yayyy!!

The day following Christmas USU played their bowl game. We were going to watch it at our house with bad reception with our friends Danny and Amanda. Then they came up with an awesome plan. Amazon screwed up with one of their orders or something...bottom line they got $100 to Buffalo Wild Wings for free. So we went there. Let me tell you, that is how you enjoy a good football game. Free delicious food and drinks, they serve you, you're warm, on a soft seat, you don't have to clean up after, plenty of leftovers...yeah it was awesome. The fact that the Aggies won made it even better!!

Tyler also made a quick trip with his brother down to Arizona to watch the 49ers play the Cardinals

We also purchased a crib and changing table that came with lots of other baby goodies for a way good deal. Thank you kind couple on KSL. (though who puts brown covers on black furniture is beyond me, new covers to come soon). But I love them! Just what I wanted.  Now it's all crammed into our disaster of a spare bedroom. I have ideas for the nursery, but it's going to take a lot of rearranging and time.

And finally....a belly pic! 18 weeks
