How far along? 17 Weeks, 2 days
How big is the peanut? 5 Inches!
Total weight gain/loss? I gained some weight (about 4 lbs) but I've lost just about all of it again...even though my belly is getting bigger and I eat A LOT of good healthy salads.
Maternity clothes? I did buy a pair of maternity pants that I wear often...pressure on my belly is a no go. So lot's of leggings and maxi skirts still. I still kinda fit into my other jeans but the elastic around the button helps ;)
Sleep? Not too bad. I have to tuck a pillow under me, but usually only wake up once or twice through the night. My next purchase is def going to be a body pillow.
Best moment this week? Christmas! We got some fun gifts for the little "it" which I love!! Our stash is growing. And I got to Skype my brothers :) Too bad my belly wasn't all that exciting yet.
Symptoms? I've only thrown up once in the past couple of weeks, so I'm thinking that's pretty much done, thank goodness. Usually thirsty, but water sounds awful. Other than that we're doing pretty good!
Food cravings? Not really any. But I am loving salads and all things ranch. I really put ranch on just about everything...
Food aversions? Mostly going away! YAYYY! The thought of lemons still makes me ill, I don't even like writing about it...
Gender? I have no clue. And we'll be super happy with either. Every hour I switch between leaning towards one gender or another.
Belly button in or out? Still in
What I miss? Being able to drink lots of water without feeling sick.
What I'm looking forward to? Feeling the baby kick! Come on baby, move a little for mommy. AND finding out the gender on the 21st.
Milestones? It's officially looking more human!

Black Friday
I wasn't going to go black Friday shopping this year because of it being so early on Thanksgiving Day (6 o'clock...really??) And I also wasn't going with Dawna or Lacie, but when an ad popped up saying that I could get a Graco Snugride Travel System for 99....I let the worldliness in me take over. Thankfully it was on the 1 hr guarantee so we got there at 6: 45 and got the voucher. And guess what, it arrived today! I was so excited I went to pick it up by myself. BAD idea!! My car was much too small for the box. So after calling Ty and him almost leaving work to switch me for the truck, I realized it was for me so I could just open it up. So I sat in the Wal Mart parking lot unloading a very stuffed box on slushy ground, I'm sure in all my pregnancy I looked fantastic. Nonetheless I got it home and Tyler set it up right away. ( I think he was more excited than I was!!)
On the actual morning of black Friday, Tyler snuck out of bed and bought me the recliner that I wanted for the nursery. I've received a lot of flack for buying/wanting the chair that I bought. But I've held and rocked a lot of babies in my day and I've sat in plenty of the classic glider/recliners and I'm just not a fan. I wanted one that I could snuggle down in for the night. I fully intend to exclusively breast feed and rock my baby to sleep every night so I want to be super comfortable. Of course being a first time mom I may regret my decision 1 yr from now...but I find that highly unlikely.
Anyways so our list of baby items is growing. I know by carseat and stroller. I have my rocker for the nursery. A carseat canopy and THE CUTEST diaper bag you've ever seen. Seriously...I LOVE it. And then I also have my baby quilt. Not a lot, but it's definitely a start! Next on the list...buying a crib and making the bedding for it. Wish me luck! haha

Pregnancy Thus Far
How far along? 12 Weeks, 4 days
How big is the peanut? 2.5 Inches (a lime!)
Total weight gain/loss? IDK
Maternity clothes? I did buy a pair of maternity pants that I wear often, my other jeans still fit fine, but they are so uncomfortable...pressure on my belly is a no go. So lot's of leggings and maxi skirts still.
Sleep? Not too bad. I have to tuck a pillow under me, but usually only wake up once or twice through the night. When I wake up from naps I always feel terrible so I usually don't do that anymore.
Best moment this week? I felt so good Monday night and we went and got shakes from Artic Circle....yummmm :) I also got to send a package to the boys to tell them we're expecting. They should be opening them any time now!
Symptoms? morning sickness, extra saliva (yuck), food sounds gross most of the time, but I can eat it now. I also had some issues so I've been on anti-biotics and they made me super sick and I've been throwing up lots...just got the news today that I quit taking them though...so hoping for a very happy Thanksgiving :::)
Food cravings? Not really any.
Food aversions? Most everything, any strong smell threatens hurling, water, all sweets. I drank that lemon water that sounded so good and barfed it up...I smell lemons now and usually dry heave a while.
Gender? I have no clue. And we'll be super happy with either.
Belly button in or out? Still in
What I miss? Liking food.
What I'm looking forward to? Liking food again, feeling better and being able to buy stuff for our lil baby!!
Milestones? 10 weeks-we got to see the lil babe and hear it's heartbeat...AMAZING. AANNNDDD we started telling extended family :)

We just love our little baby so much already!!!!
Ms. Nicole
My new title on life is Ms. Nicole. But it usually sounds more like Ms. Cole/icole/clicole etc. And I love it. A few months ago I started a new job working with Bear River Head Start teaching Preschool at Fielding Elementary (which is kinda cool cause that's where Tyler is from...random). The kids are hilarious and my assistant teacher is awesome...seriously, awesome. I'm excited for the year to progress so we can get used to our class and get our learning on!
And the Journey begins!!
11.5.2013. Let me start out by saying that both Tyler and I have been baby hungry for quite some time now! But we had some goals that we had to reach first so that we could feel happy about all of our decisions. We were very fortunately extremely blessed and didn't have to wait long for our little miracle to start growing. When I realized I was 2 days late I couldn't hold it in. I wanted to find out and tell Tyler in some cute way...nope! I just blurted it out and we found out together...which was fantastic anyways. Next to find out was our best friends, then my parents, then Ty's parents...then my sister. Now we're holding out to tell everyone else until we're into the second trimester for so many reasons. I wasn't going to do this journal thingy...but figured I might want it in the future. But since I'm on the couch 95% of the time I'm home, and paper and pen is so far away...a blog it is!
How far along? 9 Weeks, 3 Days
How big is the peanut? 1 inch long (a grape!)
Total weight gain/loss? Lost 7 lbs
Maternity clothes? I wish, just the comfies I already have. I.e. maxi skirts and leggings!!
Sleep? I could sleep ALL day long! Nights I toss and turn a lot, but still sleep okay.
Best moment this week? I felt well enough on Sunday to eat the baby back ribs our friends cooked...delicious :)
Symptoms? Morning sickness...all day long. Dry mouth, water sounds/tastes disgusting, hungry yet nauseous 90% of the time, heartburn, constipation, and hiccups.
Food cravings? It changes each time I do have a craving, but I've wanted popcorn, a milkshake, smoothies twice and warm water with lemon (something I've NEVER even had before). Luckily I have the worlds sweetest husband who buys anything I that I say sounds good.
Food aversions? Most everything, any strong smell threatens hurling, water, all sweets (super weird for me...I haven't had a candy bar in WEEKS. And yes, Halloween was 5 days ago!!!)
Gender? I have no clue. And we'll be super happy with either.
Belly button in or out? Still in
What I miss? Liking food.
What I'm looking forward to? Liking food again, feeling better and seeing our sweet lil baby's ultrasound and hearing it's <3 beat!
Milestones? Only a few more week until the second tri...woohoo!
Bump? haha I hope not....

Anniversary Numero Trés
Leading up to our 3rd year anniversary, we decided we probably shouldn't do anything too exciting so that we could increase our savings....Then about a week before we decided to do it anyways :) And I'm glad we did. I found a coupon on Groupon for a good deal on a cute lil suite in Ojai, CA. We decided, sure, why not! So last minute road trip was planned to go to Ojai and travel up the coast, hit San Fran and then head home. So here's some pictures of our exciting little adventure!
The first leg was to Mesquite, NE late Wed night after work. Thursday we woke up and went the rest of the way to Ojai.
The first leg was to Mesquite, NE late Wed night after work. Thursday we woke up and went the rest of the way to Ojai.
Ojai was cute little town close to Ventura. After driving up quite a distance, it was a sudden dissent into a beautiful green farming town with lots of winding roads. Awesome! We to a Lodge there for dinner and Ty got a stake that was 30+ $$$. But oh my, was it delicious! My dinner was quite alright as well. Then we traveled to Ventura to walk the beach and the pier at nigh. It was their county fair so there ended up being fireworks over the ocean...awesome! The next day we were going to go the fair...but it was quite a bit to just go in. So we walked around and enjoyed the area instead :)
And we went to the beach...But it was quite chilly so we didn't go in very far...
That afternoon we hit up a Golf Course in Ojai, Soule Park Golf Course. I'm glad that I found out I liked golfing, because this was quite enjoyable indeed. AND after 4 you get a super huge discount and get as many holes in as you can before they close. It was beautiful. I sucked...but Ty sure did good!
Then we started to head up the coast at sundown, which was of course, gorgeous. And spent the night in a little town along the way. Next stop...San Fran!
Once again, we didn't really have any plans. So we moseyed around and ate on Fisherman's Warf, rode the Trolley, did some sight-seeing, hit up Chinatown (Where we ended up parking!...Never again) and stopped by Candlestick Park. It was their Red and Gold game, but of course they were sold out of the free tickets, but at least we got to see it and all of their fans before the stadium changes. Then we went across the Golden Gate and started the longest leg of the journey...back to Utah.
Oh, and I didn't get any pictures, of course, but we stopped at a Go Car place on the way home. Not your typical Go Car, Super fast go cars and tight corners. OH SO FUN!

Catch Up
So I was going to upload a bunch of pictures from the last little bit, but I got interrupted and now I can't find my SD card! It's gone, lost. Oh well. We'll just have to suffer through with words. As of late a few fun things have happened...I finally graduated! It was a wonderful day, the ceremony was a bit long because we have a HUGE college, but a couple hours later I was finished forever and let me tell you, it feels good :) Also, Charles had her cute lil babe. Cora is seriously the cutest little girl ever. I love her. Just like I love my other niece who just moved to Pennsylvania! Crazy. I'm super jealous of them but I'll miss their little family so much.
Oh, and Trevor and Tanner graduated from high school, which means my mom and dad have no one left in high school. And soon, they won't have anyone left at home! Trevor leaves on July 31st for the San Fernando Mission and Tanner leaves 3 weeks later to Utica New York! Then...9 months later Haden will be home. Lots of missions, but super cool.
For my birthday I went shopping at City Creek with Dawna, my mamma-in-law, & Dawna's mamma-in-law and sis-in-law and their girls. K...so it wasn't really for my birthday, it was a girls day for Dawna before she headed out...but it was still fun! And it was the day before my actual birthday so we're counting it. Also, I got a little treat from the Cheesecake Factory (where we had lunch) and it had a candle in it...yummm. Then Ty came down and we went to Red Lobster and saw Star Trek 2 (AMAZING!!!) I'm not an old treky fan...but these last 2 movies I LOVE.
I quit the library too...ahhh! I've worked there for a few years now so it's weird to think I won't be going there anymore, but I got a full time job at ICON with day hours so I'll actually get to see Tyler, YAYYY. I'm excited to have every night free. The thought of getting home at 5 everyday is super cool because that's usually when Tyler gets home. I usually go in at 5...so we miss each other completely. But no more! Here's to a big girl job.

Birthday & a Baby Shower
This last weekend Tyler's sister, Dawna, had to work the graveyard shift. Her husband regularly works graveyard, which meant that they needed someone to watch their cute little girl. Luckily, we were available so we got to have a sleepover! Reese didn't get to our house 'til late Friday night, but we were still able to make some yummy cupcakes before bedtime. We asked her where she wanted to sleep (unfortunately we couldn't find the plug for our air mattress after the move :() so her options were limited. She chose to sleep with us which concerned me at first. Last time she slept with us, I quickly found out that she is a Kung Foo master in her sleep. I thought about her flailing arms and decided that she could sleep on the end instead of between me and Ty. And it was great. No arms to the face this time! It makes me happy that we still have our california king bed because all 3 of could fit our pillows no problem. It was a good thing that we all slept well because the next morning she had a basketball game. Tyler was nice enough to make us some french toast and then we hurried out the door to her Jr. Jazz game and to meet her parents. Oh my, it was hilarious. Watching 6-year-olds run around the court trying to dribble the ball and make baskets is wonderful.
After that we hurried home so that I could finish making the cupcakes that we needed for the night. Luckily Reese had helped me start them but I still had another batch to make! We were headed to Malad for my Grandpa Jensen's 80th Birthday party and my sisters baby shower. So I also threw together this cute little diaper cycle. I followed the tutorial that I found on Pinterest from this blog here.
Yes, we had a little photo shoot. It just turned out sooo much better than I thought! The tutorial was awesome and saved me a lot of time too! We finally got to Malad and my grandpa was very surprised by the little party we threw him. We just had it at a restaurant in Malad called The Dude Ranch. It was pretty tasty--minus the fries, they were so so. But they were able to feed all of the family that showed up!
Then we headed to my Aunt's house for the baby shower. Unfortunately my camera ran out of room on the card so I only got one picture :( And of course it's a blurry one. haha
She got lots of cute stuff though! This was a quilt that my Aunt Kellianne made, it is amazing. Super super cute. I can't wait to meet my new cute little niece! While we were shopping for the motorcycle supplies at Wal Mart Tyler mentioned 2 things. First off, that it was the first time he had ever been in the baby section of wally world and that it made him nervous for days to come because everything is soo expensive. Secondly he said that he thought we would be making more visits to Lehi once little Corra comes along...he's right ;)

Saturday is a Special Day
This last Saturday both of us had the day off. I hadn't ever been to the Salt Lake City Temple so we thought we would make a day of it and make a random trip down to SLC. We slept in, got all ready in our Sunday best and finally rolled out of Logan around 11. It was a nice drive down...and then we got to salt lake. First, we passed the exit. No surprise there cause we were just talking and talking-not a big deal. Then we couldn't find parking. Not really a surprise there either, I'm not a big fan of driving or parking in Salt Lake because we don't do it enough to know the in's and out's of it. Then came the worst surprise of them all----the temple was CLOSED! Ahhhh. It was quite the disappointment, I was really looking forward to going through this temple. Everyone talks about how cool it is and we always say we'll go one day when we're headed down to Lehi, but of course that never happens. But we figured City Creek was right there by us so we decided to shop around a bit...and I might have bought some new cute clothes (oops!). Tyler was lucky enough to also forget his normal shoes so he was lookin stylin in his nice shiney church shoes!
We decided that it wouldn't be a bad idea to splurge a bit on dinner either (we were planning on fast food :)). So we walked on over to the Blue Iguana. I had been there once before a few years ago and we were lucky enough to find it because the entrance is literally squished between buildings! The stairs were a bit frightening cause they're steep and the slush and ice made them super slick. It was worth the descent though cause the food was delicious and it came super quick. Tyler also found out that I had never had fried ice cream so we even had dessert. It was worth it.
On our way home we made 2 more magnificent stops. The first was to the Bountiful temple. If you haven't been let me tell you, it is BEAUTIFUL! No surprise there either, but it's so fun to see the different designs but still feel the wonderful feelings and be in awe of their beauty. Our second stop also reaffirmed my belief that there really is a heaven...Krispy Kreme :) My o my how I LOVE those donuts. I've always had a soft spot for donuts. It's my biggest weakness. MMMM. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. We were a bit worried that they would be closed because it was after 11, but we made a miraculous discovery...THE DRIVE THRU IS OPEN 24/7!! O dear. Bad news for my waistline, but everywhere else was happy about that news! A dozen donuts here we come. Well now they're gone, and yes I was kind enough to share a couple with Tyler. But oooh were they delicious! If you're thinking, wow, she's using a ton of exclamation marks, yes I am. Because Krispy Kreme just deserves that many exclamation marks (and caps ;)!! And yes, I did have fried ice cream and donuts all in one night...gotta work on that...
Overall it ended up being a very good trip despite the minor set back at the beginning. But have no fear, I will make it there eventually, mark my words!

The New Year
The new year has begun and we have started it off with some fun things. First off, we moved!! We are loving our new place. It's a cute townhome that's closer to the center of Logan. That means Tyler has a longer drive to work, but on the flip-side, I'm a whole lot closer :) (Only 3.5 minutes my friends!) School is also just a short distance away so that makes it even better. We miss being so close to our 2 favorite nephews, but since it's only 10 minutes away I guess we can't complain too much! The move went amazingly well. It's crazy how only moving 10 minutes still requires a ton of planning and stress (we have wayyyyy to much stuff!). But we had most of it boxed up before the 31st so that on moving day we, along with Tyler's parents and our good friends Danny and Amanda, were able to load up the trailer in no time and unload only a few minutes later. A little bit after that Tyler called a buddy from work to help move the big stuff (the piano, our washer/dryer, armoire, etc.). He ended up bringing along a couple of his brothers and they were able to get it all done amazingly fast, just in time for New Year's Eve. We owe them all SOOO much. They're the best.
School also started up again...and I'm almost done! I'm doing my practicum with Bear River Head Start and I love it there. My class has the cutest little children in it and I'm excited to spend my semester with them. My favorite thing about this semester?? I'm only taking 15 credits, which is a lot, but not near as crazy as last semester. In the fall I took 18, and one of my 3 credit classes was from 12-4 every single day. Throw 15 credits on top of that plus working just about killed me! Thank heavens Tyler was around to cook some delicious dinners and keep the house going because I always left before 8 AM and got home at 9:30 PM on a good night, plus I worked 8 hours about every other Saturday. This semester proceeded my summer of working 2 part-time jobs (~50hrs/week) and taking 9 credits (one of them was stats! scary). So, in conclusion, my measly 15 credits where I get a break from 1 to 5 nearly every single day is heaven! My burnout has subsided and I'm looking forward to the wonderful ceremony of May 4th when I get to walk across the stage and receive my bachelor's degree..ahhhh. I'm in heaven just thinking about it.
Meanwhile, Tyler is just getting into the thick of his college career. This semester he is finishing up his generals so that he can get started on the mechanical engineering program next fall. Because seriously, their "4 year program" starts you out where a sophomore usually is and still has you taking nearly 18 credits every single semester to graduate. He's already done 2 part-time years, and is now finishing up his first full-time student year. After this semester he will hopefully be able to graduate in 4 years and only have to take 12-15 credits/semester. Good luck my love! It will finally be my turn to cook and clean again. Oh and he actually has 2 math teachers that actually speak English (Whhhaaaaa? I know, a miracle huh). It's a ton of schooling, especially for a Bachelor degree, but it will be worth it. Utah State's program is top in the state and one of the best in the nation, so yeah, it will be worth it in a few years when he's sittin where I am now, but knowing he'll make at least 3X as much as an entry-level engineer then I will after I graduate.
Along with the move came a new ward and it seems to be a really cool ward. We live in a place that is surrounded by lot's of townhomes and duplexes so they have a pretty high turnover rate. But they have a class once a month for newcomers so that they can get to know the ward leaders and some of the members. We also have 2 retirement homes in our neighborhood which makes it fun. In sacrament meeting there are probably as many grey haired ladies as there are little toddlers running around. I think it's going to be really fun!
As for our New Year resolutions, they are mostly financial ones that we have been working towards for a while. There's me graduating, and then paying off both of our vehicles this year (which is super fast!) and then saving up money as we prepare for a hopefully one day expanding family. But that's all for now. We're just really happy to have our new little place, continuing our education and working.

But that's all for now. We're just really happy to have our new little place, continuing our education and working.
